Pilots having an ICAO pilot licence issued by a 3rd Country (Non-EU) must convert their licence into a Private Pilot Licence PPL(A) issued according to EASA rules (PART FCL)to make them eligible to fly in the European Union.

What are the pre-requirements?
- An applicant for a licence conversion shall be at least 17 years of age.
- Hold an ICAO-compliant private pilot licence.
- Have 100 hours of total flight experience (dual and solo combined).
- ICAO English Level 4.
- EASA Medical Class II or Class I certificate.
Duration depends on the knowledge, skills, flight hours, licence, class and type rating of the candidate!

What are the limitations of the converted licence?

After the conversion process the candidate must follow the programme from the end of PPL course .
Theoretical Course
We provide 2 hours face-to-face ground school training to ensure that you get the right answers to the specific questions you may have.
Theory Exam
Candidates have to pass the following 2 EASA PPL exams:

- Human performance & limitations
Flight Training
Minimum 5 hours flight on aircraft.
Exact number of required flight hours will be decided by the pre-examiner instructor.
Flight Exam
Pilots apply for licence conversion must pass a 1.5 hours flight exam for their PPL(A) licence.
