Dual flight instruction course for experienced pilots. Successful completion of this module enables candidates to perform Flight Instructor operations in single engine piston aircraft. At the end of the course a skill test is required.

What are the pre-requirements?
- EASA Commercial Pilot Licence or EASA Private Pilot Licence and have met the requirements for CPL theoretical knowledge, unless the FI(A) focuses exclusively on LAPL(A) training.
- Minimum 200 hours of flight time on aeroplanes or TMGs, 150 hours as PIC, last 5 hours in the preceding 6 months.
- Minimum 1 hour pre-entry assessment flight.
- EASA Medical Class II or Class I certificate.
- ICAO English Level Proficiency – Level 4.

What are the limitations of Flight Instructor licence?

Upon completion of FI(A) Course, instructors needs to start their profession with PPL candidates

When the specific required time (after supervision of 25 students and 150 hours taught, the FI limit can be lifted) has been completed, the instructors can apply for other type of instructor trainings, like Instrument Rating Instructor Course
Theoretical course
During the 100 hours theoretical coure light instructor candidates learn instructional techniques and the way of teaching. Flight instructor trainees also hold a sufficient amount of theory teaching and briefing under supervision to the students.
Practical training
A minimum of 30 hours flight on aircraft.
Flight Exam
At the end of the training programme, students are required to complete an official check flight, during which a flight examiner is on board to assess their skills and performance. The examination is 1.5 hours.
