Dual flight training for experienced pilots, which qualifies the candidates to conduct Instrument Rating Instructor(A) flights in an aeroplane or simulator. At the end of the module a skill test is required.

What are the pre-requirements?
In case you have valid Flight Instructor (FI) rating:
- SEP class-rating.
- EASA Medical Class II with Instrument Rating(IR) extension or Class I certificate.
- ICAO English Level 4.
- Valid Instrument Rating licence.
- Minimum 200 hours Instrument Rating(IR) flight experience.
Without valid Flight Instructor (FI) rating:
- SEP class-rating.
- EASA Medical Class II with Instrument Rating(IR) extension or Class I certificate.
- ICAO English Level 4.
- Valid Instrument Rating licence.
- Minimum 800 hours Instrument Rating(IR) flight experience.

What are the limitations of the Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) licence?

The current training is only applicable to single engine.

If the privileges will be used at multi engine specific requirements need to be observed.
Theoretical course
We provide 40 hours face-to-face ground school training to ensure that you get the right answers to the specific questions you may have.
Practical training
- In case of valid Flight Instructor( FI) (link) rating: a minimum of 5 hours flight on aircraft.
- Without valid Flight Instructor( FI) (link) rating: a minimum of 10 hours flight on aircraft.
Flight Exam
At the end of the training programme, students are required to complete an official check flight, during which a flight examiner is on board to assess their skills and performance. The examination is 1.5 hours.
