This course is an important step between the recreational and professional pilot level after the experience of flying a single engine piston aircraft. With the Multi Engine Piston Class Rating course you will take the next step in your aviation career: to be able to fly multi-engine aircraft in normal and asymmetric single engine operation. Flying a multi-engine aircraft will enhance your decision-making and flight skills. It will also give you the opportunity to fly a complex aircraft that requires advanced piloting skills.

What are the pre-requirements?
- An applicant shall be at least 17 years of age.
- EASA Private Pilot Licence.
- EASA Medical Class II or Class I certificate.
- ICAO English Level Proficiency – Level 4.
- Completed Instrument Rating / Single Engine (IR/SE) course.
- Have completed at least 70 Pilot In Command hours.

What are the limitations of Multi Engine Piston (MEP) limitations?

Pilots can fly the same category of multi engine aircraft, under visual flight rules.
Theoretical course
The theoretical knowledge course for a single-pilot multi-engine class rating shall include at least 7 hours of instruction in multi-engine aeroplane operations.
Practical training
Minimum 6 hours flight on aircraft.
Flight Exam
At the end of the practical training there is a 1 hour examination.
