What are the limitations of the revalidated class rating?

The same limitations apply as before the re-validation process.

To revalidate a single pilot, single engine class rating

    • within 3 months prior to the expiration date of the class rating, you simply need to pass a proficiency examination in the applicable class with an examiner. No flight training is required before the flight exam.
    • within 12 months prior to the expiration, you need minimum 1 hour flight time with a Flight Instructor (FI) or Class Rating Instructor (CRI) before the class rating examination.
    • You need to pass a 1 hour proficiency examination in the applicable class with an examiner.
